All you need to know for DIY Self Publishing

With the material we have prepared and following some “step by step” tips, you can create your KDP and ACX COVER even without any knowledge of graphics.

This is just one of the many “small” but “BIG” pieces of advice that our Agency has in it for you!

Whether you have just started publishing or want to save a few dollars you will learn how to create the covers of your books… independently!

Read this through until the very end because you will find so much material that will be of great help to you.

Let’s start!

Cover Kindle and Audiobooks for ACX dimensions and format

The ideal sizes for the cover image of an eBook must have a height / width ratio of at least 1.6: 1. This means that for every 1,000 pixels in width, the image must be 1,600 pixels in height. To ensure maximum image quality, especially on high resolution devices, it is recommended that the height be at least 2,500 pixels. So the optimal size for Amamzon’s Kindle KDP book covers is 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.

The optimal sizes for an Audible ACX Audiobook Cover are 2400 x 2400 pixels.

At the moment, KDP and ACX accept different types of files for cover images but the JPEG (JPEG / JPG) format is the one that gives best results for the images, maintaining a minimum compression level.
